All Is Vanity by Christina Schwarz

All Is Vanity, by Christina Schwarz is a novel I haven't read. It begins with a kind of pre-mid-life crisis, i.e. a crisis of meaning before reaching mid-life. Anyway, the title comes from Ecclesiastes.
